Importing College data

Purpose: This page covers how to quickly update system with Users, Subject Areas (Courses) and Classes, and Enrollment data. Typically implementation time is greatly reduced when these steps are completed.

How to Access: Administration > Advanced > Import

Accudemia uses CSV files uploaded through a utility called Accudemia Data eXchange (ADX) to bring your data over to Accudemia. Use the ADX tool to upload these CSV files pulled or extracted from your college's data warehouses (Banner, DataTel, etc):

1. Download and install ADX on the Windows server the imports should run on.
   Note: The ADX application is a Windows-based utility and must be installed on a Windows-based server or computer.
2. Create extracted CSV files from the institution's data warehouse to upload into Accudemia. Build the CSV import files from the CSV Sample files that are available online:
   • User Imports
   • Subject Area (Courses) and Class Imports
   • Location Imports
   • Optional Imports
   • Typical Single File Import
3. Use ADX to create the Import Jobs.
4. Schedule these import jobs to run regularly from the Windows server/computer.
