Attendance Restrictions

How to Access: Advanced Options > Settings > Attendance Restrictions

Purpose: Within AccuCampus, you are able to restrict the locations, services, or staff members that users can access. Attendance restrictions allow you to have prospective students, currently enrolled students, and alumni all within the same system and ensure that they only have access to the resources that are appropriate for their unique status within the institution. AccuCampus uses tags that are placed on users (typically students) which then allow attendance restrictions to be placed.

Page Options

This list shows all Restrictions established in Accucampus.

  • Create Restrictions - Please click this button to load a new page and create a new restriction.

Restriction List Options

Please notice that on the right-hand side of each row(restriction) there is a button:

  • Delete - Please click this button to erase this current Restriction.
After clicking DELETE a new screen confirming such action will appear, if you are sure you want to delete click OK, otherwise click cancel to go back.

New Restriction screen

This is the new/edit Restriction screen, please check thoroughly all options and click SAVE.

  • Name - Enter a Name for the restriction. We recommend using a unique and specific name so that other users will understand what the restriction is for.
  • Details - Enter Details for the restriction. We recommend using a detailed description of what the restriction will do.
  • Restriction on - Choose whether the restriction will be on Locations, Services, or Staff Members.
  • Order - Please choose an Order for the restriction. If the restriction is set to show a location, service, or staff member, this setting will determine the order in which it displays relative to other restricted spaces.
  • Action - Choose whether the restriction will Show or Hide the location, service, or staff member from the user. Typically, restrictions are used to Hide vs. Show.
  • Specific locations - This option will only show if in the Restriction on you select Location: Select the specific Location(s), that should be hidden or shown.
  • Specific Services-This option will only show if in the Restriction on you select Services: Select the specific Services(s) that should be hidden or shown.
  • On Location- This option will only show if in the Restriction on you select Services: Select in which Location the Services above should be hidden or shown.
  • Specific Members-This option will only show if in the Restriction on you select Staff Members: Select the specific Member(s) that should be hidden or shown.
  • On Location- This option will only show if in the Restriction on you select Staff Members: Select in which Location the Members above should be hidden or shown.
  • To attendees - Restrict to some Attendees only.
  • Specific Tags - Choose whether the restriction will be on users With a Tag or Without a Tag. Your decision should be based on the ratio of users with or without the tag relative to the general population.
  • SAVE BUTTON - Please click this option to save the configuration.
  • CANCEL BUTTON - Please click this option to cancel and rollback without saving.
Please check all information before saving.
