Recorded Dead-Ends

How to Access: Advanced Options > Settings > Recorded Dead-Ends

Purpose: Keep track of the dead-ends and learn what users are looking for.
This “Dead-end recording” function is to allow students to provide feedback when they can not find a particular Service in the list, for example, if my student Peter Smith uses the “Sign-in Station” to my “Success Center” and can see only one option: “Tutoring Service”, however maybe he is looking for some sort of “Financial Help”, so he would select “Other” and provide some information like “I need some financial help”.

Now an administrator can check all Dead-End-Recordings and make sure to add the Service or let the students know how they can get help.

When this feature is running the students will see an extra option when selecting Services in a Kiosk:

Page Options

  • Start/Stop Recording - Please click this button to start/stop Recording.

List Options

  • View Feedback- Please click this button to see more information.

  • Mark as Resolved- Please click this button to mark this dead-end as resolved. (The information will be hidden, but it might appear again if this dead-end is found again). A confirmation message will appear:
